Work in Progress #2

OK, so I've deviated from my usual flight plan for this one since I was having so much fun working on Isabel. Usually I clean up the whole piece before jumping in and throwing down any color... Oh well! That flew right out the window eh? Poor Croc is feeling a little left out...

Work in Progress #1

Here is the work in progress for my next Weres of Weirdwood concept. Since I get asked quite often how I go about sketching out my work and the steps that I follow, I thought it would be fun to actually show you all what I'm doing as I'm doing it!

So for my first step, I position the characters out and rough in the details. Since I'm already pretty familiar with my characters I usually just jump right into it, but if I'm working on a new character I will do a lot of exploration and doodles before I get started on a fully colored piece.
